  • What breeds of dogs do you train?
We train all breeds, crossbreeds, and mixed breeds, with in-depth knowledge of the genetic traits that influence their behaviour. If your dog is a mix, we will assess which elements of their genetic makeup and previous training or lack thereof may be impacting their behaviour and tailor a training plan that suits their needs.
  • How do I get started?
The first step is to book a one-to-one assessment. This allows us to evaluate your dog's behaviour, discuss your training goals, and create a personalised plan. Contact us via WhatsApp at 07540 259095 or through the email contact form to schedule your assessment.
  • Do you train dogs with a bite history or restricted breeds?
Yes, we work with dogs that have a bite history and provide training for legally exempted banned breeds under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. Our focus is on managing reactivity, reducing aggression, and providing structured rehabilitation to improve behaviour and safety. If your dog has displayed aggression or dominance-based behaviours, we can help with behaviour modification and environmental training to support a positive outcome.
  • Do you work with rescue dogs?
Yes, we specialise in rescue dog training and take great pride in helping them adjust to their new lives. Many rescue dogs experience anxiety, reactivity, or fear-based behaviours, and we are committed to providing structured, compassionate training to support their rehabilitation.
  • Do you offer group classes?
Yes, we offer group classes for dogs and owners assessed as suitable for a class environment. To ensure the best experience for all participants, we require an initial one-to-one assessment before joining. Contact us via WhatsApp at 07540 259095 or use our email contact form to book your assessment.
  • Is my dog too old to train?
No dog is too old to learn! Whether you have a young puppy or a senior dog, behaviour can always be improved. The key is identifying the underlying causes of unwanted behaviour and implementing the right training strategies. Many owners are surprised at how quickly they see positive changes once they learn the correct way to communicate with their dog.
  • What training methods do you use?
We use positive reinforcement as our primary training method and tailor our approach to suit each dog's individual needs. While reward-based methods form the foundation of our training, we also integrate behavioural modification techniques when necessary. We never use methods that cause pain, fear, or distress. Our goal is to build trust and create lasting behavioural change through ethical, evidence-based techniques.

At Aylesbury Vale Dog Training, we specialise in dog reactivity training, behavioural modification, and socialisation to help dogs and their owners build a balanced and fulfilling relationship. Whether you need help with aggression, anxiety, or obedience, we are here to support you every step of the way.

Working with Mark has been extremely helpful for myself and my dog Bella. She is a rescue and was isolated for a very long time. She's 4 and it's been difficult and overwhelming to try and get her trained as it didn't seem like she has had much in her previous home. Mark has been so good with us both. Bella has improved massively with his help and I don't know where we would be if I didn't go to his classes. I would recommend him to everyone.

Lez

Mark's expertise in dog training is exceptional. His deep understanding of canine behavior and use of positive reinforcement made each session productive and enjoyable. He guided us patiently, ensuring progress and comfort for both me and my dog. Thank you, Mark, for your dedication and outstanding support!

Shaun

Mark's guidance has helped me improve my 7-year-old German Shepherd’s loose lead walking and obedience through positive reinforcement. Her progress has been remarkable, and I’m committed to continuing our practice to strengthen our bond.
